Lesson 1: David and Goliath

Theme: Courage through faith — God fights for those who trust Him

Scripture: 1 Samuel 17

Memory Verse: "The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine." — 1 Samuel 17:37

  • Watch Episode 1 together
  • Discussion: What was everyone afraid of? Why wasn't David afraid?
  • Discussion: David didn't use Saul's armor. What did he use instead?
  • Discussion: What "giants" do we face in our lives? How can we trust God with them?
  • Activity: Find 5 smooth stones outside and write one thing you trust God with on each
  • Prayer: Ask God for courage to face the hard things in our lives
Ages 4-12

Lesson 2: Daniel in the Lion's Den

Theme: Faithfulness — Standing firm in your faith no matter the cost

Scripture: Daniel 6

Memory Verse: "My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions." — Daniel 6:22

  • Watch Episode 2 together
  • Discussion: Why did the other officials want to get Daniel in trouble?
  • Discussion: Daniel could have prayed secretly. Why did he keep praying openly?
  • Discussion: Is there ever a time when doing the right thing is scary?
  • Activity: Draw a picture of Daniel praying while the lions sit peacefully
  • Prayer: Ask God to help us be faithful even when it's hard
Ages 4-12

Lesson 3: Moses and the Burning Bush

Theme: God's calling — He uses ordinary people for extraordinary purposes

Scripture: Exodus 3

Memory Verse: "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." — Exodus 3:5

  • Watch Episode 3 together
  • Discussion: Moses was just a shepherd. Why did God choose him?
  • Discussion: Moses said "Who am I?" Have you ever felt not good enough?
  • Discussion: What does "holy ground" mean? Can any place be holy?
  • Activity: Take off your shoes and pray — remember that God is present right where you are
  • Prayer: Thank God that He can use anyone, even when we feel small
Ages 4-12

Lesson 4: Noah's Ark

Theme: Obedience — Trusting God's plan even when it doesn't make sense

Scripture: Genesis 6-9

Memory Verse: "Noah did everything just as God commanded him." — Genesis 6:22

  • Watch Episode 4 together
  • Discussion: Everyone laughed at Noah. How do you think that felt?
  • Discussion: Why did Noah keep building even when people mocked him?
  • Discussion: What does the rainbow mean? What promise did God make?
  • Activity: Build something together (blocks, craft) and talk about patience and obedience
  • Prayer: Ask God to help us obey even when others don't understand
Ages 4-12

Lesson 5: Jonah and the Great Fish

Theme: God's mercy — You can't outrun God's love and purpose for you

Scripture: Jonah 1-4

Memory Verse: "In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me." — Jonah 2:2

  • Watch Episode 5 together
  • Discussion: Why did Jonah run away from God?
  • Discussion: Have you ever tried to avoid doing something you knew was right?
  • Discussion: God saved Jonah AND the people of Nineveh. What does that tell us about God?
  • Activity: Write about a time you ran from something hard, and how God helped you through it
  • Prayer: Thank God that His love follows us wherever we go
Ages 6-12

Lesson 6: The Exodus — 10 Plagues

Theme: Deliverance — God frees His people from bondage

Scripture: Exodus 7-12

Memory Verse: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me." — Exodus 8:1

  • Watch Episode 6 together
  • Discussion: Why did Pharaoh keep saying no? What hardened his heart?
  • Discussion: What does it mean to be "set free"?
  • Discussion: The Passover lamb protected Israel. How does that point to Jesus?
  • Activity: List 10 things God has done for your family, one for each plague
  • Prayer: Thank God for freedom and for His power over every obstacle
